Pasta but make it macro friendly
Society teaches us that pasta = bad. Pasta = carbs and carbs = bad. If you're just eating pasta in a meal with nothing else, its not the wisest of choices. There's no protein source and it is essentially a big bowl of carbs. However, if we plan our meals smartly, we can enjoy a well-balanced pasta dish without having to feel any guilt!

Serves: 6
High Protein Creamy Fettucine
Ingredients
1 package of fettucine
1 jar of tomato sauce (24 oz) (I use simply nature brand from Aldi)
3 cloves garlic
1 tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion, finely diced
1 cup low fat cottage cheese
1 lb. ground turkey breast
Directions
Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil. Once boiled, add in fettucine and cook to al dente.
Add olive oil, onion, and garlic to a saucepan over medium-low heat and let simmer for 3 minutes
Add in tomato sauce and cottage cheese (blend the two together beforehand if you don't want any chunks from the cottage cheese). Stir every few minutes
Cook the ground turkey about halfway through in a medium pan and then add it to the saucepan. Let the sauce cook over low heat for about 35-40 minutes.
Strain pasta and pour sauce over. Then, serve!
